What will drive insurance claims in the near future?  

Self-driving cars and robotic drones were only concepts of the future five or ten years ago, yet now, they are here or just on the horizon.  Even established investment vehicles for new business development are upturned with the introduction of virtual currencies, crowdfunding, and ride sharing, creating new risks and opportunities for global businesses and insurers alike.  These new products and business models create the potential for new claims affecting different insurance product lines.  In this paper we address several of these emerging claims and their potential liability and insurance implications.
