James Layman is Of Counsel in the Firm’s Insurance and Reinsurance Services Group.
Mr. Layman focuses his practice in the areas of insurance and reinsurance coverage litigation. James has litigated matters and counseled insurers in a wide variety of insurance coverage claims including commercial general liability, directors’ and officers’ liability, professional liability, umbrella/excess coverage liability, additional insured liability, and environmental long-tail liability.
Some of his most significant experiences include trial preparation on multi-million-dollar property damage and environmental claims, as well as arbitration in coverage lawsuits involving major underlying class actions. James has litigated cases in New Jersey and New York. He enjoys the intellectually challenging aspects of insurance coverage and the dynamic environment of litigation.
