Patrick Florentino is a Partner in the Firm’s Commercial Litigation and Insurance & Reinsurance Services Group.
Patrick concentrates his practice in the areas of insurance and complex litigation matters in New Jersey and New York state and federal courts. He has handled coverage issues related to general liability, excess, transportation and directors and officers and transportation policies. Patrick also handles contribution claims, rescission actions and contractual disputes. He has also practiced before the Appellate Divisions of the Supreme Court of the State of New York in the First and Second Departments. In addition to handling all facets of litigation, Patrick has experience in resolving disputes through arbitration and mediation. He strives to zealously advocate for his clients with outside the box thinking and keep them informed every step of the way.
Prior to joining Coughlin Midlige & Garland, Patrick worked for several years at a boutique firm specializing in first-party property insurance claims and high value subrogation matters. Patrick began his legal career at a firm in New York City where he represented national and international corporations in product liability and toxic tort claims, as well as handling commercial litigation matters and personal injury claims. Before law school, Patrick worked in federal law enforcement on teams providing personal security details for high ranking members of the United States Congress throughout the country.
